Dry Needling

Dry needling is a therapeutic procedure that treats chronic pain by puncturing the skin with thin, stainless steel needles. This procedure is performed by trained physical therapists and is designed to stimulate trigger points or irritable muscles. Dry needling may also help to release tension from knots and pressure points in muscles. While the primary objective is to address musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions, dry needling may also help improve flexibility, accelerate recovery, and increase ROM.

Dry needling is an effective form of therapy for those who suffer from muscle pain, sports injuries, and some conditions including:

  • Neck Pain
  • Shoulder Impingement
  • Tennis Elbow
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Headaches
  • Knee Pain
  • Shin Splints
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Low Back Pain

Some side effects may include:

  • Mild Bruising
  • Mild Bleeding
  • Temporary Soreness
