Dr. Hassan Nasir, DO

Dr. Hassan Nasir is a dedicated and compassionate rheumatologist with a passion for providing exceptional care to his patients. With a wealth of experience in the field, Dr. Nasir is committed to improving the quality of life for people experiencing a wide range of rheumatic disorders through accurate diagnosis, personalized treatment plans, and ongoing support. 

After earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from Michigan State University, Dr. Nasir completed his residency training at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, Florida. At Larkin he went on to work in a variety of roles, including medical director of Larkin’s asthma and immunology outpatient clinics, allergy/immunology fellowship program director and department head, and chief of staff. He has also served in numerous clinical faculty positions at Larkin Community Hospital, Central Michigan University, and Michigan State University.   

Dr. Nasir is Board-Certified in Allergy and Immunology, Internal Medicine, and Obesity and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of knowledge and expertise. He also specializes in a wide range of rheumatic conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, with a strong emphasis on building trusted relationships with his patients.

Jasleen Kaur, MD

Dr. Jasleen Kaur is a rheumatologist dedicated to caring for patients with autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions. She specializes in inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, osteoporosis, and complex disorders with skin involvement. Dr. Kaur emphasizes early diagnosis, personalized treatment plans, and long-term disease management, integrating patient education, lifestyle guidance, and shared decision-making to help patients improve function, manage symptoms, and enhance quality of life across all stages of care. Dr. Kaur is currently accepting new patients.

Rabeea Mirza, MD

Dr. Mirza is a rheumatologist at Insight Health Systems, specializing in inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, myositis, and vasculitis. She provides compassionate, evidence-based care focused on early diagnosis and individualized treatment. Dr. Mirza partners with patients through shared decision-making to develop treatment plans that support their goals, preserve function, and improve quality of life. She is currently seeing new patients at our Flint location.

Dana Nachawati, DO

Dr. Dana Nachawati is a rheumatologist committed to delivering comprehensive, compassionate care for patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal and autoimmune conditions. As a  Michigan native, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit before completing her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She went on to complete her Internal Medicine residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and her Rheumatology fellowship at University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

As a rheumatologist, Dr. Nachawati provides expert care across the full spectrum of rheumatologic disease, including inflammatory arthritis conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, systemic autoimmune diseases including lupus, inflammatory myositis, Sjogren’s syndrome, vasculitis, gout and crystal arthropathies, and osteoporosis. 

Dr. Nachawati believes that great rheumatologic care begins with truly listening to her patients. She takes the time to learn how a patient’s disease is affecting their daily life and what matters most to them, using those goals to guide every treatment decision. Her philosophy is simple: management should be tailored not just to the diagnosis, but to the person, empowering each patient to live their best quality of life.

Christina Ploeger, DNP, FNP-BC

Christina Ploeger, DNP, FNP-BC is a board-certified family nurse practitioner at Insight Rheumatology. A Port Huron native, Christina was inspired by her family of healthcare professionals to pursue a career in medicine. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees from Michigan State University. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she built a strong foundation in emergency medicine as a registered nurse, gaining extensive experience in fast-paced, critical care environments. Today, she specializes in rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, and osteoporosis. Christina is dedicated to a holistic, patient-centered approach, fostering strong relationships and clear communication to ensure her patients feel supported in managing chronic conditions and achieving a higher quality of life.

Outside of her clinical work, Christina enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures and cuisines, and cheering on Detroit’s sports teams. She also loves spending time on Belle Isle and proudly supports her Detroit community. A lifelong animal lover, she advocates for animal shelters and rehabilitation centers, continuing a commitment to service that extends beyond her patients. Christina is passionate about improving lives both inside and outside the clinic, and she is honored to serve her community as part of the Insight Rheumatology team.

Michelle R. Kuzma, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, FNP-C

Michelle Kuzma is a certified nurse practitioner at Insight Health Systems in Flint, where she works in the Rheumatology department. She treats everything from rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjogren’s disease, vasculitis arthropathies, myositis arthropathies, gout, and various other connective tissue and inflammatory diseases.

She also specializes in the treatment of osteoporosis.

Michelle was born and raised in the Lansing area, where she worked in rheumatology prior to joining Insight. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
