Services Include:
- Pre-surgical psychological evaluations are two-hour appointments that consist of
- A thorough clinical interview
- Assessment of emotional, personality, and behavioral functioning to help determine the presence of any behavioral or emotional barriers to positive post-surgery outcomes
- A detailed report for the referring physician, which includes any behavioral or emotional problems that could impair a patient’s ability to function optimally following surgery, as well as recommendations for any pre-surgical interventions or post-surgical follow-ups.
- Individual psychotherapy focuses on symptom management, and longer-term skill development to help the person more effectively cope with and manage their problem areas.
- Initial appointment: diagnostic intake (CPT: 90791)
- Follow-up visits: typically 45-minute sessions (CPT: 90834)
